monel k500 round bar is a age hardened nickel based alloy. This nickel based monel uns no5500 triangular bar also contains some amount of element copper added to its alloy. Copper when added to the monel uns 5500 spring steel bar is known to have good resistance to corrosion, similar to that of alloy grade 400.
monel k500 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy that combines the excellent corrosion resistance characteristic of monel 400 with the added advantage of greater strength and hardness. These amplified properties, strength and hardness, are obtained by adding aluminum and titanium to the nickel-copper base and by a thermal processing used to effect precipitation, typically called age hardening or aging. When in the age-hardened condition, monel k-500 has a greater tendency toward stress-corrosion cracking in some environments than monel 400. Alloy k-500 has approximately three times the yield strength and double the tensile strength when compared with alloy 400. Plus, it can be further strengthened by cold working prior to precipitation hardening. The strength of this nickel steel alloy is maintained to 1200 f but stays ductile and tough down to temperatures of 400 f. Its melting range is 2400-2460 f.

ASTM B127 Monel K500 Coils are made from a Nickel-copper alloy with little additions of the aluminum and titanium. The aluminum and titanium content in the Monel UNS N0550 coils help these coils by enhancing their hardness and strength. The nickel content in the Monel k500 coils makes them more resistant against corrosion and oxidation. Non-Magnetic in nature, ASTM B127 Monel K500 coils offer excellent mechanical properties even at sub-zero temperatures. The Monel UNS N05500 coils also exhibit higher resistance against high-velocity sea water. We at Nexus Impex also provide certain documents with our Monel K500 coils.
