Inconel X 750 Plate
INCONEL X-750 Plate is a high-strength, corrosion and oxidation-resistant nickel-chromium alloy that is ideal for applications where high temperatures are experienced. When heated, the alloy forms a thick, stable, passive oxide layer protecting the surface from further attack. This makes it suitable for use in many industries including aerospace, power generation and petrochemical production. Inconel X-750 Plate offers superior mechanical properties such as strength and has excellent ductility even in cryogenic temperatures. It can be welded using conventional welding techniques and it can also be machined using standard tooling to meet any design specifications. Inconel X-750 Plate is available in a range of thicknesses from thin gauges up to heavy plates. Due to its unique combination of properties and availability in all standard mill forms, the INCONEL X-750 plate has become popular with engineers looking to increase their component’s service life or reliability.
Inconel X750 Plate Chemical Composition
>>> Content Body:
Inconel X-750 Plate is composed mainly of nickel and chromium, with small amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. It also contains at least 23% chromium which gives it excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance. In addition, the alloy contains titanium and aluminium which provides both strength and high-temperature performance. The composition makes it suitable for use in many industries that require high-temperature operations or need parts to resist corrosive environments. With its superior mechanical properties such as a yield strength of up to 220ksi (1517MPa) and ultimate tensile strength of up to 240ksi (1655MPa), Inconel X-750 Plate is ideal for applications requiring extreme strength combined with excellent corrosion resistance. This alloy also has a good creep rupture strength making it durable even under high temperatures and pressures. Furthermore, its ductility allows for cold forming at cryogenic temperatures down to -266 degrees Celsius (-450 degrees Fahrenheit).
Inconel X750 Plate Application
Inconel X-750 Plate is used in a wide variety of applications including aerospace, power generation, petrochemical production, construction, and transportation. In the aerospace industry, it's used to make turbine blades and other aircraft components such as landing gear and engines due to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and ability to withstand extreme temperatures. In the power industry, it's commonly used for heat exchangers because of its high corrosion resistance. It's also found in petrochemical plants for pumps, valves and tanks because it resists harsh chemicals and can continue to work in high temperatures. In construction, this alloy is primarily found in fasteners such as bolts and nuts but can also be used for roofing materials due to its wearability. Finally, it's found in transportation industries such as railway cars since its ductility allows for cold forming at cryogenic temperatures which helps with shock absorption. With its combination of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, the INCONEL X-750 Plate has become an invaluable asset across many industries.
Inconel X750 Plate Physical Properties
Inconel X-750 Plate has a density of 8.13 g/cm3, making it slightly lighter than other common metals such as iron and stainless steel. Its melting point is a moderate 1393°C (2550°F), allowing for easier welding and fabrication.
