Nimonic 80A Sheet is a nickel-chromium based superalloy made up of titanium, aluminum, and carbon. It is an age-hardenable alloy specifically designed to perform in extremely high temperatures and has a maximum operating temperature of 815°C (1500°F). The addition of titanium allows this alloy to exhibit greater strength than steel alloys at higher temperatures while its chromium content gives it excellent oxidation and corrosion resistance properties; both essential characteristics for components used in gas turbine applications.
