Inconel 825 Sheets are made from a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with the addition of molybdenum and copper. This combination gives it excellent corrosion resistance properties, especially in chloride media and other highly corrosive environments. Its mechanical properties make it ideal for high temperature applications as well, with good strength and formability even at temperatures up to 980°C (1800°F). Common uses include chemical process equipment, power generation components, pollution control equipment, marine engineering components, and nuclear reactors. Inconel 825 sheets have an attractive appearance due to their bright finish and are easy to fabricate into many shapes. They are also nonmagnetic in nature due to their nickel content, making them ideal for electrical applications where magnetic fields might interfere with the performance of the application. Inconel 825 sheets offer superior weldability compared to other alloys in this family and can be machined easily without losing its shape or becoming brittle under extreme temperatures.
Inconel 825 Sheets Chemical Composition
Inconel 825 Sheets are composed of a unique blend of elements, with the main components being nickel, iron, chromium, molybdenum, and copper. The amount of these elements varies depending on the grade of the sheet and its specific mechanical properties. Nickel makes up between 55-80%, while iron and chromium generally make up between 14-17%. Molybdenum is present in amounts ranging from 0.5 to 4%, while copper makes up around 2%. This composition provides Inconel 825 Sheets with excellent corrosion resistance under highly acidic and alkaline conditions as well as high temperature environments. It also has good weldability and formability compared to other alloys, making it easy to fabricate into various shapes without compromising its strength or becoming brittle when exposed to extreme temperatures. In addition, this alloy is nonmagnetic due to its nickel content so it can be used in electrical applications where magnetic fields may interfere with performance.
Inconel 825 Sheets Application
Inconel 825 Sheets are commonly used in high-temperature applications where the combination of corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability make them ideal. They are often found in chemical processing equipment, power generation components, pollution control equipment, marine engineering components and nuclear reactors. The nonmagnetic nature of Inconel 825 Sheets also makes them suitable for use in electrical applications such as transformers and motor windings since they will not be affected by external magnetic fields. In addition to their excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, these sheets offer superior weldability compared to other alloys that can provide the same level of protection from extreme temperatures and harsh chemicals. This makes it easy to fabricate into shapes without losing its strength or becoming brittle when exposed to extreme temperatures. It is also resistant to oxidation and carburization at higher temperatures which further increases its suitability for use in various industrial applications.
Inconel 825 Sheets Physical Properties
Inconel 825 Sheets have excellent physical properties, including high tensile strength and formability at temperatures up to 980°C (1800°F). Its combination of nickel, iron, chromium, molybdenum and copper gives it great thermal resistance and stability plus the ability to withstand extreme temperatures for long periods of time

Inconel 825 Wire Chemical Composition
Inconel 825 Wire's chemical composition is composed of nickel-chromium-iron, molybdenum, copper and titanium. Nickel provides superior corrosion resistance and excellent strength properties while chromium improves oxidation and corrosion resistance. Iron is a strong alloying element which adds strength to the wire. Molybdenum further enhances the wire’s strength by forming compounds with other elements at high temperatures. Copper increases the ductility of Inconel 825 Wire while also providing increased corrosion resistance. The presence of titanium helps to stabilize the wire’s metallurgical structure, allowing it to maintain its mechanical properties even under varying temperatures and environments. This combination of chemical elements allows Inconel 825 Wire to be used in a variety of applications, as it offers superior corrosion resistance, high-temperature tolerance and excellent strength properties.
Inconel 825 Wire Application
Inconel 825 Wire is ideal for applications where its superior corrosion resistance and high-temperature tolerance are needed. It is often used in the oil refining and petrochemical processing industries, as well as fasteners, springs, valve parts, marine fixtures and other components which will be exposed to highly corrosive environments. Its combination of excellent strength properties and corrosion resistance also makes it useful for mining equipment, electrical components and automotive components. Inconel 825 Wire can even be used in the production of gas turbines, jet engines, turbochargers and nuclear reactors where its superior properties are essential for protecting delicate parts from harsh conditions.
Inconel 825 Wire Physical Properties
Inconel 825 Wire has excellent physical properties, making it an ideal material for many harsh and extreme applications. The wire is highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation, as well as tolerant of temperatures up to 1500 °F (816 °C). Its tensile strength is 90 ksi minimum while its yield strength is around 45 ksi minimum. It also offers good thermal conductivity and fatigue resistance. In addition, Inconel 825 Wire has a melting point of 2550°F (1399°C), which allows for quick and easy welding processes. Its elongation is around 35%, giving the wire excellent ductility which makes it easier to work with in manufacturing applications. The wire also features good electrical resistivity, impact toughness and resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, making it suitable for various challenging environments.
